Ontario Startup Tackles Canada’s Housing Crisis

July 28, 2025 by Newsdesk

Ontario-based CABN has raised new funding to accelerate its production of net-zero, prefabricated homes amid Canada’s intensifying housing shortage. The company’s 90,000-square-foot Brockville facility will incorporate robotics and 3D LiDAR technology to produce 552,000 square feet of housing annually.

CABN claims its homes require just 20% the energy of traditional builds and can be completed in weeks. The CABN Foundation also brings sustainable housing to underserved communities. Backers include Active Impact Investments, Greensoil PropTech, and Groundbreak Ventures. CEO Jackson Wyatt calls the investment “a vote of confidence in prefab innovation and climate-resilient development.”
