CO280 Solutions has completed a major field pilot demonstrating the effectiveness of liquid amine technology to capture biogenic carbon dioxide from a U.S. Gulf Coast pulp and paper mill. Working with SLB Capturi, the Vancouver firm installed a Mobile Test Unit that ran more than 4,000 hours and consistently captured 95 percent of emissions.
Executives say the outcome removes technical barriers to commercial-scale deployment across an industry generating over 100 million tonnes of biogenic CO2 annually. CO280 is now advancing more than ten projects as corporate buyers, including JPMorganChase and Microsoft, commit long-term purchases.
