Hopp has introduced a new in-app feature allowing riders to discreetly report unsafe driving in real time, strengthening the company’s expanding suite of safety tools. The system gives riders an anonymous way to flag speeding, distraction, or dangerous behaviour without confronting drivers, routing reports to Hopp’s in-house, 24/7 Safety Team for rapid review.
With most Hopp trips occurring overnight, General Manager David Riggs says the feature addresses growing concerns about personal safety, especially among women. Reports are paired with telemetry to guide investigations and improve platform standards. Early feedback shows rising confidence among riders.
