Forcen’s $8.35M Funding Round Sparks Growth in Robotics Sector

Toronto-based robotics sensing and edge intelligence company Forcen has announced the closure of a $8.35M funding round, led by Brightspark Ventures and BDC Capital’s Deep Tech Venture Fund. The new funding will allow Forcen to scale prototype production, serving more customers and further developing its innovative force/torque sensing technology.

This technology aims to enable robots to achieve superhuman levels of manipulation in complex and unstructured environments. CEO Robert Brooks highlighted the company’s focus on providing customized solutions, with the goal of reaching a broader customer base. Forcen’s technology is finding applications in various fields, including surgical, logistic, and space robotics.
