The financial technology landscape in Canada is more complex than ever as innovate startups continue to disrupt traditional aspects of the system. A recently revealed “market map” aims to help everyday Canadians grasp the notable financial operations companies helping the many businesses across the nation hum along.
This map includes fintechs who handle payment processing, or “tools that manage the entire lifecycle of a transaction,” as well as those offering expense management and digital banking, including tax services. It’s split once into two categories—making vs. accepting payments—then again into finer niches, and includes everything from iconic faves like Shopify to a couple you probably haven’t heard of (yet).
