Arc’teryx and Skip Introduce MO/GO Exoskeleton Pants for Hikers

August 2, 2024 by Newsdesk

Arc’teryx, in collaboration with Skip, a Google X Labs spinoff, has unveiled the MO/GO pants, an exoskeleton suit designed to aid hikers. The MO/GO pants, weighing around seven pounds, feature an electric motor at the knee to boost leg strength uphill and absorb impact during descents.

Priced at $5,000 ($4,500 with early bird discount), the pants use carbon fiber braces and rechargeable batteries. Marketed as a mobility device, they make hikers feel up to 30 pounds lighter. Rentals are available for $80 on select trails. The MO/GO pants aim to make hiking more accessible by enhancing endurance.
