Alberta’s tech sector is thriving, with rapid growth and innovation, says Nate Glubish, Minister of Technology and Innovation.
To sustain this momentum, the government will invest $27 million over four years in the University of Alberta and University of Calgary under the Major Innovation Fund. This funding will support research in areas like AI, healthcare, energy, and agriculture, driving innovation and technology commercialization.
Previous investments led to $25 million in additional funding, 200 industry partnerships, and eight spinoff companies. Alberta aims to solidify its reputation as a global tech and investment hub. #AlbertaTech #Innovation
