Calgary-based Bidaya AI has raised $840,000 in pre-seed funding led by Metiquity Ventures, with participation from LOI Venture and several angels. Founded in 2024 by Omar Sabbagh and Majd Alsado, the startup is building an AI platform that helps architecture, engineering, and consulting firms streamline the process of discovering and bidding on projects.
Embedded in Microsoft Word, Bidaya unifies proposal drafting, compliance, and knowledge management into one workflow. Metiquity’s Bryan Slauko called it “a high-impact solution for an industry ready for digital transformation.” The funds will support product development and expansion into U.S. markets.
