Calgary-based Carbon Upcycling has raised $30 million to scale its carbon capture and utilization technology aimed at decarbonizing cement production. The round was led by Builders Vision, with support from investors including BDC, Climate Investment, and CRH Ventures. The company converts CO₂ emissions and low-value materials into cement alternatives that reduce carbon output and improve supply resilience.
CEO Apoorv Sinha emphasized the practicality and profitability of low-carbon construction. Active projects include a facility with Ash Grove in Mississauga and new agreements with TITAN Group. Carbon Upcycling now positions itself as a key player in clean industrial innovation.
