Cohere Makes a Cybersecurity Move

October 16, 2026 by Newsdesk

Toronto’s Cohere has signed a letter of intent to acquire Prague-based cybersecurity startup Aisle, expanding its enterprise AI ambitions into software security. Aisle develops AI tools that identify and fix vulnerabilities, and approximately 50 employees are expected to join Cohere.

The proposed acquisition would establish a Prague office and a new division, Cohere Cyber, led by Aisle CEO Ondřej Vlček. Co-founder Jaya Baloo would become Cohere’s global chief information security officer, while Stanislav Fort would lead AI security as vice-president. The move would deepen Cohere’s European presence while strengthening its pitch to businesses and governments seeking secure, sovereign AI platforms.
