Google Empowers 5,000 Job-Seekers in Canada with $2.5 Million Grant

Google.org has pledged a $2.5 million grant to NPower Canada, enhancing the employability of 5,000 marginalized job-seekers by equipping them with vital technical and job-readiness skills.

This collaboration integrates Google Career Certificates into NPower Canada’s virtual workforce development programs, empowering diverse candidates for future-focused digital careers. The grant solidifies Google.org’s ongoing support for NPower Canada, which commenced in July 2020.

NPower Canada, a transformative force, artfully combines training like the Google IT Support Professional Certificate and UX Design Certificate, with wraparound assistance, ensuring 80% of its graduates secure employment or pursue higher education within half a year.
