Harrison Amit, CEO of Toronto-based Hovr, announced the launch of a revolutionary ride-hailing service aimed at disrupting the industry. Hovr, which begins operations today, plans to challenge giants like Uber and Lyft by offering drivers 100% of the fare through a unique $20 monthly membership model.
This approach, which contrasts with the percentage cut from fares by existing companies, has already attracted 5,000 drivers and 25,000 potential customers. Amit’s ambition is to expand Hovr into a national brand within a year, leveraging the discontent within the ride-hailing sector over pay and working conditions.
