Montréal’s Lightspeed Commerce has confirmed a restructuring affecting 250 roles, including layoffs and vacant positions being eliminated. The company has not disclosed how many employees lost their jobs. It says the changes support profitability and continued investment in products and customers.
The commerce software provider is concentrating on North American retail and European hospitality under a transformation plan. The latest changes follow approximately 100 job cuts earlier this year and the divestiture of a U.S. hospitality business unit. Lightspeed says it will provide further details when it reports fiscal second-quarter results on November 5, as its push for efficiency continues.
