Additionally, Thomvest’s investments in smart home device maker Ecobee and Carbon Engineering have borne fruit through acquisitions by Generac and Occidental Petroleum, respectively.
Recently, Thomvest participated in Cohere’s $270 million Series C round, emphasizing its commitment to the burgeoning field of large-language models. Umesh Padval, the firm’s new managing director, anticipates a normalization in AI investment trends.
