Ottawa’s Shopify has enhanced its partnership with Amazon. A new agreement permits Shopify merchants using Shopify Payments to integrate Amazon Pay effortlessly.
Shopify now assumes greater responsibility in processing transactions, a shift from their previous arrangement. Amazon has begun sharing buyers’ details with Shopify, streamlining merchant support. While Stripe continues to process payments, it now does so under Shopify’s umbrella.
This change limits Amazon’s access to order data but aims to improve customer service. Shopify, opting not to comment, will fully implement this system for U.S. merchants by March 18, following their earlier collaboration on Buy With Prime.
