Freedom Mobile recently revealed launches in 50 additional cities and communities in Canada, stating that the expansion was possible as a result of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission’s Mobile Virtual Network Operator framework. In addition, Freedom said that the company has been “making numerous improvements to the wireless network” this year.
“Consumers from across Canada have been demanding more competition in wireless for a very long time,” stated Pierre Karl Péladeau, CEO of Quebecor, the parent company of Freedom Mobile. “We’re happy to continue to bring Canadians the many benefits of having a strong fourth player in the market.”
