INRS has secured $7.4 million in funding for three projects aimed at revolutionizing quantum technology. The projects, all of which are university-industry partnerships, will be funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada through its Alliance Advantage grants program, according to a statement from INRS.
Funded projects include a scalable semiconductor platform led by Professor Sharif Sadaf, advanced quantum applications spearheaded by Professor Roberto Morandotti, and high-dimensional photonic systems for quantum information processing. INRS is an academic institution dedicated to graduate research and training in strategic sectors in Quebec since its creation in 1969.
