Jetson Raises $50M to Scale Home Electrification

January 20, 2026 by Newsdesk

Vancouver-based Jetson has raised $50 million in a Series A round to scale its home electrification platform. The financing was led by Eclipse, with participation from 8VC, Activate Capital, Garage Capital, and Active Impact. Founded in 2024, Jetson focuses on all-electric heat pump systems replacing gas furnaces.

Its flagship Jetson Air product delivers whole-home heating and cooling through existing ductwork using a vertically integrated, direct-to-consumer model. The company says the funding will support U.S. expansion and platform development. Investors say the approach reduces costs, speeds installs, and improves homeowner adoption.

Jetson CEO Honoured by TIME for Clean Tech Leadership

October 30, 2025 by Newsdesk

Vancouver entrepreneur Stephen Lake has been named to the TIME100 Climate list, honouring global leaders advancing climate action. Lake, co-founder and CEO of Jetson, was recognized for his role in developing affordable home electrification solutions. Jetson’s technology halves the cost of heat pump installation by streamlining assessments and eliminating markups.

TIME cited Lake’s call for governments to redirect fossil fuel subsidies toward clean energy adoption. Earlier this month, Jetson Air — a smart home heat pump system — was named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025. Lake previously co-founded North, later acquired by Google.

Jetson Air Launches to Halve Heat Pump Costs

September 10, 2025 by Newsdesk

High costs and complicated installations have kept heat pumps from mainstream adoption. Vancouver’s Jetson aims to change that with Jetson Air, a fully integrated smart home platform offering single-day installation at half the price of traditional contractors. Operating in cold climates down to –30°C, Jetson Air integrates with existing ductwork and provides smart features including air-quality sensing, performance alerts, and over-the-air updates.

CEO Stephen Lake, previously co-founder of North, describes the system as “Tesla-like” innovation for homes. Early adopters in B.C., Massachusetts, and Colorado report major savings and emissions cuts, with expansion now underway in New York.
