LinkedIn Teams Up with CLEAR to Verify User Identities in Canada

LinkedIn, in collaboration with secure identity firm CLEAR, has introduced identity verification for Canadian members.

This move aims to enhance digital trust and security, allowing LinkedIn users to confirm their identity through the CLEAR Verified platform within the app. Verified users will sport a badge on their LinkedIn profiles, boosting their professional authenticity.

“CLEAR and LinkedIn share a vision of trust and safety,” said CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman Becker, emphasizing the potential for verified members to have better job prospects and networking opportunities.

This venture marks CLEAR’s first international expansion. The feature is set to launch this month for LinkedIn’s 22 million Canadian users.
