Waterloo-based Nfinite Nanotech, a pioneer in plastic-alternative nanocoatings, announced a $6.5M seed round led by Collateral Good. Strategic investment came from Suzano Ventures, with additional backing from FTW Ventures, MaRS IAF, Overlay Capital, Ponderosa, and Republic Capital. Non-dilutive funding from Next Generation Manufacturing Canada also contributed.
Nfinite’s ultrathin, high-performance nanocoating preserves the recyclability and compostability of sustainable packaging while extending product freshness. CEO Chee Hau Teoh emphasized the funding’s role in scaling operations and enhancing R&D. With a market potential of $737.6B by 2030, sustainable packaging is critical.
