ApplyBoard Founder Secures $40 Million to Launch Passage

June 27, 2023 by Newsdesk

Martin Basiri, co-founder of ApplyBoard, has raised $40 million for his new startup, Passage, which aims to democratize educational opportunities in Canada.

Passage will leverage a “super app” to enable individuals from developing countries to digitally apply for studying or working in Canada. It will also provide connections to financial partners who can fund their journeys.

By addressing talent gaps and increasing immigration targets, Basiri envisions Passage as a catalyst for economic growth. With data analytics at its core, the platform will identify promising students with high earning potential.

Basiri’s mission is to unlock opportunities for talented individuals worldwide and make Canada a hub for diverse talent.
