The Canadian Government is committed to boosting Alberta’s economy, and today, they announce an investment of over $6.1 million in two key initiatives for Calgary.
The City of Calgary will receive $3.1 million to establish a Technology Integration Centre, creating an innovation hub for local businesses to demonstrate their technologies in city operations. The project aims to support 100 tech firms and generate 180 jobs, driving Calgary’s vision as an innovation-driven city.
Additionally, Calgary Economic Development will receive $3 million to promote foreign direct investment and business retention, assisting 200 local businesses and contributing to around 900 new jobs. The total investment is expected to attract $800 million in foreign direct investment over four years.
