Tim Hortons to Add EV Chargers at 100 Locations

August 28, 2025 by Newsdesk

Tim Hortons will deploy electric vehicle fast chargers at 100 restaurants nationwide by 2028 through a partnership with Quebec-based FLO, a leading North American EV charging company. The rollout, targeting all 10 provinces, will make Tim Hortons Canada’s largest restaurant provider of fast charging.

The first site opened in Regina this month, with up to 13 more expected by year’s end and 50 by 2026. FLO’s Ultra chargers deliver up to 120 kilometres of range in 10 minutes, supported by Canada Infrastructure Bank funding. Executives say the initiative will help make EV charging a routine part of daily travel.

Tim Hortons Rolls Out First Electric Transport Truck for Sustainable Deliveries

November 30, 2023 by Newsdesk

Canadian coffee and fast-food chain Tim Hortons has introduced its first zero-tailpipe emissions electric transport truck.

The Volvo VNR Electric Class 8 truck operates from the Tim Hortons distribution centre in Guelph, Ontario, with a second electric truck soon to be stationed in Langley, British Columbia.

This initiative aligns with Tim Hortons’ sustainability platform, “Tims For Good.” Each electric truck is expected to cover up to 100,000 kilometers annually, emitting zero tailpipe emissions and reducing diesel fuel consumption by over 25,000 liters per vehicle annually.

The distinctive lightning bolt design and Tims maple leaf logo will identify these eco-friendly trucks on Canadian roads.
