TELUS is investing heavily in quantum technology by committing $73 billion through 2028 to enhance network infrastructure and explore solutions in the space. Examples of Telus’ ongoing commitment include the BC-born company’s 2021 investment in Australian startup Quintessence Labs as well as its support for the University of Alberta’s ARAQNE project—initiatives which align to an aim of protecting data against quantum computing threats.
“At TELUS, we are constantly exploring and developing next-gen technology to tackle some of society’s biggest challenges,” chief technology officer Nazim Benhadid informed Betakit. “Embracing cutting-edge technology like quantum computing is part of that work.”
