Vancouver Startup MATT3R Introduces Advanced AI for Road Safety

July 9, 2024 by Newsdesk

Vancouver startup MATT3R has unveiled the K3Y device, turning Tesla vehicle cameras into smart dashcams. Founded by CEO Hamid Abdollahi, MATT3R leverages AI to flag events like honks and harsh braking. The K3Y, priced at $199, records from Tesla’s front, side, and rear cameras, and connects to the CONSOL3 app for footage access.

Abdollahi, a seasoned entrepreneur whose Recon Instruments was acquired by Intel, aims to enhance road safety with this innovation. MATT3R also develops software for Automated Driving Systems, using anonymized K3Y data for simulation training. Pre-orders are available now, with shipments starting late 2024.
