Victoria startup Salyx Medical is gaining attention for its wearable device designed to improve senior care through real-time health monitoring. Founded in 2021, Salyx’s patent-pending device tracks vital signs such as heart rate, oxygen levels, and blood pressure, transmitting data to a connected mobile app.
The device aims to assist both healthcare providers and loved ones with timely alerts. Recently named one of Douglas magazine’s “10 to Watch” for 2025, Salyx is emerging as a standout in Vancouver Island’s growing tech ecosystem. The company was founded by CEO Sergio Pérez, Fabian de la Fuente, and Mario Solis.
