Manulife has launched a proprietary enterprise AI platform designed to scale artificial intelligence across its global operations. The Toronto headquartered insurer says the platform provides a common foundation for development and governance, allowing teams to build solutions once and deploy them across markets.
The launch supports Manulife’s target of generating $1 billion in cumulative enterprise AI value by 2027 through expense reductions, revenue growth, fraud reduction, and other benefits. Executives describe the move as a shift from individual applications toward shared capabilities. For financial services, the rollout illustrates how major institutions are embedding AI into operations beyond isolated experiments and pilots.
