Rogers Communications is investing in cutting-edge wildfire detection and prevention tech to ensure Canadians’ safety.
Leveraging partnerships with SpaceX and Pano AI, Rogers will utilize its national network for climate change-related events.
Satellite-connected sensors, using SpaceX’s Swarm service, will predict wildfires in remote areas of British Columbia. Additionally, Pano AI cameras on the Rogers 5G network will detect smoke within a 20-kilometer range, strategically placed near key areas.
Rogers aims to aid Canadian first responders by sharing real-time data from these technologies with key partners like BCWS and UBC for efficient wildfire management.
