Boeing is investing $61 million to support two British Columbia aerospace companies, part of its Industrial and Technological Benefits commitment tied to Canada’s selection of Boeing’s P-8A Poseidon aircraft. This includes $13 million for Parksville’s COTA Aviation, an Indigenous-owned aerospace and defense company, enhancing their manufacturing capabilities and establishing a training facility.
Additionally, Boeing is investing $48 million in research and development at Boeing Vancouver to optimize aircraft maintenance and performance. These investments will generate nearly 3,000 jobs and $358 million annually in economic output, contributing significantly to Canadian economic growth.
