In a bid to further its mission of sustainability, textile recycling specialist Debrand is opening a cutting-edge headquarters in Surrey, BC.
The 21,000-square-foot facility is the first of its kind in Canada and a rarity in North America, boasting state-of-the-art textile sortation technology for reuse and recycling.
CEO Amelia Eleiter emphasizes the importance of circular textile practices, aiming to assist top fashion and retail brands in achieving sustainability goals. The facility’s expansion is set to make textile recycling more accessible, reducing the 92 million tons of textile waste sent to landfills annually.
Debrand, backed by WM, serves renowned brands like Lululemon Athletica and Canada Goose.
