Vancouver’s Scope AI Deploys Quantum-Resilient Data Security Technology

Following its acquisition of QSE Technology from Ovryde, Scope AI has launched the QSE Quantum Gateway, a module designed to provide quantum-resilient data security across global networks. This innovation from the Canadian company aims to bridge the privacy and latency gap between institutional clients and their cloud infrastructure, enhancing scalability and security.

“When we first envisioned the QSE Product Suite, our goal was to create something that would not only meet the needs of today’s businesses and their security expectations but also anticipate the challenges of tomorrow,” stated founder Sean Prescott. “Seeing it come to life on a global scale is incredibly fulfilling, and it strengthens our commitment to continue innovating and pushing boundaries for our customers.”

Protecting Against Quantum Threats, Scope AI Bolsters Its Suite of Security Solutions

Scope AI, a Vancouver tech firm dedicated to advancing the field of artificial intelligence with a focus on visual recognition and neural network technology, has finalized its acquisition of QSE Technology from Ovryde Ltd., thereby fortifying its suite of quantum-resilient security solutions.

The $400,000 deal, plus 2.8 million shares, enhances Scope’s ability to protect digital assets against emerging threats. CEO James Young noted that the quantum cryptography market is projected to grow to $126 billion by 2033. This acquisition positions Scope AI at the forefront of digital security, Young believes, offering advanced encryption solutions to retail and institutional clients.

Telus Investing in Quantum Technology with $73 Billion Commitment

TELUS is investing heavily in quantum technology by committing $73 billion through 2028 to enhance network infrastructure and explore solutions in the space. Examples of Telus’ ongoing commitment include the BC-born company’s 2021 investment in Australian startup Quintessence Labs as well as its support for the University of Alberta’s ARAQNE project—initiatives which align to an aim of protecting data against quantum computing threats.

“At TELUS, we are constantly exploring and developing next-gen technology to tackle some of society’s biggest challenges,”  chief technology officer Nazim Benhadid informed Betakit. “Embracing cutting-edge technology like quantum computing is part of that work.”

Three Canadian Quantum Computing Projects Garner Federal Funding

INRS has secured $7.4 million in funding for three projects aimed at revolutionizing quantum technology. The projects, all of which are university-industry partnerships, will be funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada through its Alliance Advantage grants program, according to a statement from INRS.

Funded projects include a scalable semiconductor platform led by Professor Sharif Sadaf, advanced quantum applications spearheaded by Professor Roberto Morandotti, and high-dimensional photonic systems for quantum information processing. INRS is an academic institution dedicated to graduate research and training in strategic sectors in Quebec since its creation in 1969.
